Featured Cruise Line: MSC Cruises
MSC Cruises has emerged as a fast-rising star in the European-style premium cruise market. Backed by the world's second largest cargo shipper, Mediterranean Shipping Company is a well capitalized shipping company that's determined to enter the Cruise industry in grand style. The company started a $3 billion expansion program in 2003, with the introduction of the new MSC Lirica in 2003. MSC Cruises added the MSC Armonia (built in 2001) to its fleet in spring of 2004 and the new MSC Opera debuted in June 2004. The line purchased the MSC Sinfonia (built in 2002) in July 2004 (the ship began cruising in March 2005) and has built two new 2,600-passenger ships MSC Musica(2006) and MSC Orchestra (2007). MSC's most recent mega ships MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia are the largest built by a European ship owner and are in excess of 137,000 gross tons and have more than 1600 statero0ms. Today, MSC Cruises is the industry's fastest growing cruise line and they clearly determined to make a name for themselves. more

Featured Destination: Caribbean-Extended
An Extended Caribbean Cruise is a combination of an Eastern Caribbean Cruise with a Western Caribbean Cruise. These cruises often attract an older and more experienced traveler who enjoys a longer cruise experience. Extended Caribbean Cruises are usually 10-nights or longer and sail from November to April. They often visit 5 or more of these ports: Cruise Line Private Islands; Jamaica; Key West, Florida; St. Maarten; St. Croix; Grand Cayman; St. Thomas; Cozumel, Mexico; Puerto Rico and The Bahamas. Because an Extended Caribbean Cruise is a combination of Eastern and Western Itineraries, you will find a wide range of activities including snorkeling, beaches, hiking, shopping and cultural tours. Once back on the ship cruisers can enjoy the relaxation of the shipboard experience as well as many shipboard activities such as theatrical shows, musical concerts, cultural speakers and much more while spending many days at sea. more
